OBERLIN, Ohio (AP) -- Students are speaking out against a secret "no trespass" list maintained by their northern Ohio college.

People who get on the list at Oberlin College find themselves barred from campus, which encompasses part of the historic downtown. But many don't know they are on the list or what they did to get there.

The (Cleveland) Plain Dealer (http://bit.ly/VeisGi ) reports that a campaign by students is seeking to modify the college's trespassing policy, which dates to the early 1970s.

A crowd of more than 100 jammed the Oberlin Public Library on Wednesday evening for a lively public forum to discuss revising the policy.

Anyone who violates the campus security rules -- such as playing basketball without a student ID or skateboarding on college property -- can be put on the list.
